Description
This sea fan ring is made of gold plated 925 Sterling Silver. Its design resembles a gorgonian coral like the ones identified on the research programs carried out by Bahia Salinas Research Center at Punta Descartes, on our local marine ecosystems.
Sea fans, like the one found on this ring, are soft corals of the Gorgonian order, which are easy to identify because all gorgonians have a central axis. This type of coral has polyps with eight feather-like tentacles, and one of the most common ones found in Costa Rica are those of the genus Pacifigorgia.
